According to Chelsea statement:

Chelsea Football Club can confirm that Avram Grant has had his contract as manager terminated today (Saturday, May 24). This follows meetings over the last two days.

Everybody at Chelsea FC would like to thank Avram for his contribution since taking over as manager last September.

We will now be concentrating all our efforts on identifying a new manager for Chelsea and there will be no further comment until that appointment is made.

In Barcelona there was different circumstances. Stupid Johan Croiff influence just killed club morale. Everything was uncertain. This is first reason why Barca was unsuccessful last two seasons. About MU. Declaration that MU win everything but any another club nothing is dilettant’s declaration (I am sorry), but nobody prohibited to dream. In football everything may happen (where is FA Cup now). Chelsea proved in this season that they are not worse team then MU, Arsenal and Liverpool. Yes MU and Arsenal more impressive, but not better. And by the game nobody won Champions league. Both teams deserved to lift the cup, MU was just more lucky, and nothing more. Both teams equal by quality, differently but equal.

Confirmed. Scolary appointed as Chelsea manager from 1 July 2008.

Avram Grant did a great job last season, seen as though he started first few matches not so good, . Once he got his feet under table he done very well!!!

You will be lucky if Scolary does the same in first season!!
