How to enable right click after being disabled?

Postby laggardlady » Fri Feb 03, 2012 5:30 pm

I purchased a template and have noticed that the images have the right click disabled.

Does anyone know where I can find the code for this so I can enable the right click again?

Thanks

I probably aint gonna be much help but have a couple of suggestions.

1) ask the cart developer or where you got the template from.

2) if you have firefox with firebug installed then you may be able to highlight an image to see to the code.

Thanks Shane

I realise it's probably not possible for anyone to help as probably no one knows where they've put the code. I was hoping that there might be one file it could be placed in but after checking so much out I doubt that :(

Can't do the first, although I will try but doubt I'll get much help from where I bought it. I have web developer installed, is that the same as firebug? I found a file for 'all listings' where if I cut some of the code out I can then right click but it also does away with the border round the image and it doesn't help me with all the other images.

This template has given me so much work lol that I thought of getting another but it took me so long to find one I liked as out of the millions available none appealed to me :lol:

I would try a search from your cPanel, File Manager and then the template folders.

If there is a message that comes up when you right click then I would use this phrase as your search, if not then use something like 'right click'.

Good Luck

If you want to PM a page link or copy of the 'view source' I do not mind having a look.

Weyhey I've done it with help from Stephen who pointed out that the right click worked but that the image was the page url and not showing as an image.

After having been through ALL the files from the template numerous times without finding code to do with right clicking and anything else I could think of I found something in one of the css files

.image{ position:relative; display:block; width:232px; height:170px;}
.image span, .image2 span{ display:inline-block; position:relative; }

and further down
.image img, .image2 img{ position:absolute; margin:3px 0 0 3px;}

After deleting numerous bits which got the right click showing the image info but the image being in the wrong place I got rid of the
.image2 bit
and it appears to be working

The images don't have rounded corners anymore but I can live with that.

Stephen, thank you very much for setting me on the right track
