ZenCart template for $150 or free template?

Postby chodel » Thu Feb 24, 2011 4:37 pm

Has anyone bought any zencart template? I found a great template for my new store, but I am not sure if it is wort it for $150 when there are many free templates. What do you think, is $150 for a template too much ?

I personally don't think $150 is too much to invest in your business's image, if you really like the template and it will make you stand out from all the competition then I would concider it a good investment.

Unless it's a template that's badly constructed as some template firms dish out ;)

yep it all depends on what the template looks like and most importantly how it works as a whole ..... have you not got a demo or pic or something for us to look at

I certainly wouldn't pay $150 for it. You can do much better yourself if you have a bit of patience to learn and are prepared to put the time in.

If you don't have the time or inclination then LL's recommended site looks a good alternative.

Doing it yourself will give you much greater satisfaction and give you a much better insight into how it all works if you have problems in the future.

$150 is way too much to pay for an off the shelf template.

As with the link LL posted there are cheaper sites or you can have one custom made for a lot less.

As redspell said, You would be nuts to spend £150 on a template. Have a word with him his prices are very good and his customer service is second to none.
