View topic - Split Menu in Zen cart?

Is it possible to have a split categories menu in zen cart, or a second category menu? For example one for shop by brand and one for the actual items.

If so does anyone know how please. Tried googling for a tutorial but got all different kinds of things but not what I am looking for.

You can add the manufacturers in a list in a side box. The layout isn't wonderful but you can add a mod to arrange it properly like the standard categories.

Just enable the manufacturers in the layout box controller.

I did that last night and for some strange reason, all the front page categories then turned into subcategories - I got in a right pickle and had to move them all back one by one.
I shall summon up some assistance with it now I know it can be done.

I've set one up recently using the manufacturers lists. I have lingerie by designer and then in what was the manufacturers list, I renamed to categories as well I have lingerie by type such as babydolls, corsets and things like that.

It was quite straightforward, instead of putting in the manufacturers name I input the type of lingerie and have it in a list almost the same as the original categories.

Did you get this to work? We have a split catagory mod type thing on our Treasures website which you could put a heading title of 'shop by brand' 'Shop by product'...etc and then the customer just clicks which ever catagory they want. We've done ours for Personalised, Jewellery etc.

I didn't like it, I wanted both menus viewable or one menu split somehow. Where did you get your mod from?
