Who you think is gonna win 2010 World Cup?

This promises to be one of the greatest World Cup of all time. In one side we got Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo who can make any diference inside the 4 lines. On the other hand we got teams like Spain who have a great midfield and teams like England, Italy, Germany, Brasil and France that are always a potential winner. So in your opion who is gonna win?

In my opinion is gonna be Spain. They have such a good midfield a great goalkeeper and a David Villa in front. They have the better team on World Cup. But football is football and you never know whats comming.

Its those pesky English media pundits again scottie. Always scuppering our chances and talking down the team

I'm gonna support Algeria or USA methinks although not because they're playing England before anyone says it but because there's a couple of Rangers players in those two squads. Its about as close as Scotland get to a tournament these days.

Who will win....Good question..

Of course I want England to win, but let’s be realistic here. They are a team full of promise but never really turn up when it counts.

This is the same for Portugal and Spain (Greece v Portugal) you know what I mean Harry

The group that shows the most promise is G

1 Brazil
2 Ivory Coast
3 Korea DPR
4 Portugal

I can see Brazil and IC going through,

But the teams that could go all the way for me are USA, Argentina or Holland.

In fact I recon Holland are the team to watch. Full of players who can play great football and as a team.

So lets watch this space

I would like to see Portugal win but I don't think that will happen.

It is really difficult to say for sure who would win.

im kenyan born and i ave supported england all my life i really wish and hope that england carries the world cup home from africa that would make me so happy..

ive always supported them and i always will what ever happens..

I think England will "impress" this year, they wont win but play good football and loose in the semi finals.

You didn't put Holland in the list. I have a feeling they will do well.

Spain and Brazil are fav's at the moment though.

You need a new option:

'I don't really care, will be glad when its all over and done, and the TV returns to normal'.

I'm a Rugby fan, and do support England, as at least they have a chance, and have done so within living memory, of winnning the world cup!

Given that
1 - Rooney stays fit and in form
2 - Rio & Terry stays fit and in form
3 - Gerrard & Lampard stays fit and in form
4 - Of course The Keeper (whoever plays) stays focussed

England got a GREAT chance...

1. Agreed - but if he doesnt we are stuffed..
2. Rio wont be fit and IMHO he isnt good enough to be first choice anyway. JT is having a mare since the scandle broke - have to hope he gets over it soon, but who's going to partner him? Upson? Lescott? Tangoman? Sad state when we cant name 2 consistent, strong centre halfs.
3. Gerrard and Lampard CANNOT play together, its been proved by Sven, Mclaren and now Fabio. Best bet? Lampard and Barry.
4. Calamity James....

Think we'll get through the 1st round but thats it

I guess, everyone agree about Rooney. I think JT will be ok by June - lets hope his team mates (not WB) forgets about it. If Rio stays fit & form, he should do well - lets hope so.
I remember, Sir Alex once said that, "Its the back two and the front two, wins you championships." I was thinking along those lines.... But who to partner Rooney?

I think England are lacking slightly in that area. Crouch, Defoe and Heskey are the people in the frame, which says a lot about the lack of English strikers on the world stage.

What I think will happen, is obviously Rooney will start, but the other position will be a mixture of the other three.

Roll back the years and bring back Shearer. If only, eh! Can you imagine Rooney and Shearer! What a delightful combination that would have been, although quite similar players.

Let's hope we do well, and makes for a great summer of pub lunches and BBC football on tap - fantastic!

Oh, yes, a job well done.

Wayne is on fire at the moment. It was a great night. The atmosphere in the stadium was fantastic.

Beckham was within touching distance from our seats at one stage, lapping all the attention up.

I am gutted for Becks. That is the end for him now. It was only 7 days ago I was watching him at OT.

He has been a great servant for English football.
