Changing main domain for linked domains on Zencart Admin?

Postby Noodles » Thu Aug 05, 2010 2:30 pm

Hi,

I have a Zencart website with coding based on the .com and I have a .co.uk linked to it. I want to change this to have the .co.uk as the main domain as my market is the UK and I want the .co.uk to be the indexed one. Can I do this on the Admin console or does my Host need to do it for me?

Also, can you envisage my having any obvious problems with this once it happens?

Thanks,
Noelle.

If you have the domain properly pointed through then all you should need to change is the :
includes/configure.php
and
admin/includes/configure.php
To reflect the correct domain

Thanks Scotserve.

I can see references in both files to the .com domain but see no references to the linked .co.uk domain. If I change the .com references to the .co.uk in order to make it the main one, where then would I change the .co.uk (linked) domain to make it the .com domain (newly linked domain)?

Also what do you mean by pointing through?

(domains are www.snugbabyshop.com and .co.uk)

You seem to have it setup right - the site is responding to the .co.uk address and the .com points to that
